Cruise Day will be filled with Live Entertainment on Gratiot Avenue

Both Cruise Headquarters and the Dorian Ford Midway will have live entertainment with local bands performing all day for the Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise on August 7, 2011. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. attendees can enjoy the live music at these two main hubs for the cruise.

This year the Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise committee did a shout out to local bands to perform on cruise day for free. The response was tremendous and several bands were selected to perform at two locations - on stage at Cruise Headquarters and under a tent at the Dorian Ford Midway.

The Cruise Committee is thrilled to be able to offer these bands a place to perform. “We appreciate them coming out and performing for free and hope that everyone enjoys their music,” said Steve Hemmen, cruise secretary. “I wish we had more stages to accommodate all the bands who responded.”

There will be much more than just live entertainment at both these locations. These main hubs are great destination spots for families, walkers, bikers and cruisers to check out. Cruise Headquarters will have a Car Show, the Moran Kid Zone and WCSX broadcasting live all day. The Dorian Ford Midway will have lots of kid activities and vendors of all kinds.

Cruisers can also hear live entertainment at two Pre-cruise Car Shows with Beggars Banquet performing at Cheli’s Chili Bar August 3 and Full Throttle performing at Concordee Inn on August 4. The Pre-Cruise Car Shows are a great time for cruisers and the live entertainment gets cruisers all revved up for the upcoming cruise.
