Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise joins Detroit's Auto Palooza events

DETROIT, MI -- On June 8, 2010 the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau announced this year's Auto Palooza events at Detroit's own Campus Martius Park. The Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise was the only Macomb County cruise event noted. Among events featured were the MIS Speedway Nascar race weekends on June 11-13 and August 13-15, the Crusin' Downriver, the Cruisin' Michigan Avenue cruise, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Concors D' Elegance of America. Auto Palooza spans three counties and includes events all summer long with the intent to cross market and bring visitors to all areas of metro Detroit for auto related events.

"We are honored to be a part of Auto Palooza and we agree that metro Detroit is the capital of great auto related events." Said Tracey Moro, communications director for the Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise. "Last year we had folks from Ohio and Indiana that traveled to town for more than one car related event."

By compiling a group of auto related events together under one name - Auto Palooza, the hope is everyone will work together for the same goal of gaining awareness of auto related events in southeast Michigan. Everyone can learn from each other and by joining forces each group will grow their own event while supporting the others. Detroit has a natural fit for auto heritage with being home to the three biggest car manufacturers. Auto Palooza combines all the auto related events under one umbrella giving Detroit and southeast Michigan top billing for places to visit for auto heritage.
